Information: Roy was born in Kamloops, British Columbia in 1924. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as an air frame mechanic/flight Engineer and was stationed in England. Roy flew and worked on many aircraft, including the famous Avro Lancaster, CF-104 Starfighter, and Harvard Trainer. Roy now lives with his wife Ethel in Wetaskiwin, Alberta where they both stay very active in their community. Roy on a night attack on his airfield... "I remember one night the Luftwaffe came over, and they were flying Heinkels and they strafed the airfield, and dropped their bombs...That put the airfield out of commission for several days..." Roy is currently an Executive Member of Branch #86 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Wetaskiwin. He is active in the Education and Publicity Portfolio.
